Braidwood- The Polk-a-Dot Drive Inn is the attraction in Braidwood for their life-sized action figures and their iconic presence on the old road.. We filmed this in the morning after sleeping a night in the only motel in town called, as you might have guessed, the Braidwood Motel.

Pontiac- Pontiac is a very "Artsy" town with murals that are easy to review, just follow the red footprints on the sidewalks and take the tour. After you do that you can visit the people who paint them at the International walldog Mural Museum. There is much you can see and learn in the Route 66 Museum and be sure to visit the war museum. It is a place that displays uniforms worn by veterans and each uniform has the picture of the veteran and his story. Do not be surprised if you spend all day there.

We slept at the Three Roses B&B where the homesick traveler feels like he is home with mom making breakfast of your choosing in the morning.

Breakfast at Three Roses - Flaxseed pancakes, scrambled eggs, toast, homemade English muffin and jelly. Delicious!

The Old Log Cabin Lunch- A complimentary Hamburger and chips. Mmmm Mmmm good!

Dinner- Turkey sandwich, Kudos bar, and wine.
